An overview of the French situation with Alain Francqueville

On the way to the European Championships
Every year, pony, junior and young riders take part in the same European Championships.
This periodicity is due to the inevitably restricted presence of riders within a specific category: each one is a springboard for the next one. Of the four categories represented in Compiègne, only that of the under 25 year-olds does not have its own championships.

CDI 2010
The Compiègne Equestrian Association is becoming more and more involved in dressage. This first international competition, dedicated to the young generation of riders, is the result of the federation’s desire to help to train them for the future. France does not have many major competitions for dressage, a discipline that is dominated by Germany and the Netherlands. But French dressage is developing more and more, and our riders are beginning to distinguish themselves abroad once again. It is therefore necessary to prepare the future generation.
